I used to at a florist and they were going to do our flowers for our wedding. I stayed very close to them and it was a set thing. But now the store was sold off to a new owner and my closest friend there quit! So now two of my friends there said they would do it themselves outside of a florist but I worry that they may be too risky in case there's a problem with getting flowers or getting back to NY (one is moving to Arizona). Or if my RH gives ys a problem b.c. they want proof of insurance. 1-My problem is first how do I tell them that I don't think it's a good idea for them to do my flowers for me anymore. 2- now I have no idea of a florist to go to. My cousin used Sugar Magnolias but I haven't heard of anyone but her using them.
I really dont know what to do, the only good thing is that we have time to really find a good one b.c. I know I'm going to be picky since I used to work with flowers.

Re: Florist!
Why don't you tell your friends the truth; that the idea of them doing the flowers with one of them living out of town and the lack of insurance is making to worry you to much. Thank them and call another florist. I'm sure they will understand, chances are they are a little worried to but our trying to be there for you.
Ask the one friend that still lives in NY to go with you to other florist, she knows the deal so she can't be fooled and you will get a good price!
I'm sure the girls on here can give you tons of recommendations. Personally I'm using Designs by Rose; Rose and her Mom are wonderful to work with and the pricing is very reasonable.
Good luck.
By the way, wonderful choice of RH; my FSIL got married there 3 weeks ago and the food and service was wonderful.

Re: Florist!
You still have plenty of time before your wedding so you will definitely be able to find a new florist that will do great work if you want to do so. I think you should just tell your friends that while you appreciate their want to go out of their way for your wedding, you at this point feel uncomfortable with them doing all of that work and all that traveling.

Re: Florist!
I used the Perfect Wedding Planner florist and he was awesome. His prices are reasonable and I definetly got alot for my money. Ask your RH for a list of preferred vendors and try contacting some of them. Also, try posting what you are looking for (flowers & price) on the Vendors Helping Bride section and see what vendors respond. As for your friends, explain to them that you appreciate their offer to do your flowers for you and let them know that you are concerned because your RH requires a certificate of insurance.

well your RH wants insurance from your vendors no and if or but's about it so tell them you simply cant use them bc your RH won't allow, that will be the best for you.
