florist

I am getting married in Nov in Woodbury. I have met with James Cress but want to meet with a couple of reasonably priced florists. Any suggestions? Also, I'm the 1st of my (close) friends to be getting married- so I have no experience in this yet. Typically, where do I need flowers. Obviously, I'll have bouquets for myself, the bridesmaids, boutineirres for the guys and fathers. Corsages or mini bouquets for the moms. Do grandparents get anything? And do the buffet tables and everything get flowers? Besides the centerpieces, is there anything I am overlooking?? THANKS!

I am getting married in woodbury also, in June of 04. I booked the other day with flowers michele, they are in huntington. John is a great person to work with and his work is great. Depending if you want to save money you don't have to go nutty. You should have centerpieces for your tables but you don't have to do your cocktail, or maybe just throw down some rose petals that should come free with your florist. Grandparents I think are optional but would be nice to get corsages for. Hope this helps.

I'm getting married at the Crest Hollow also. Since they do the cocktail hour in other room, who would set up flowers (if we chose to have arrangements for the cocktail hour) in that room and move them back to the reception room? I haven't gotten this far in detail with CHCC.

I highly recommend Colonial Florist in Bellmore, they are so nice and accomadating and the florist will make sure everything is perfect on the day of the wedding. Everyone I know who used them were so happy, and had no regrets.
