What is everyone spending on flowers & what are you getting??
I am going to start shopping around, but everyone wants to know what range my budget is, I have no idea what's reasonable. Thanks

Re: Florist ??
I used Rich at Flower Michele. I highly recommend them, Rich worked within our budget. In terms of estimate, it all depends on what you need, eg., high/low centerpieces, how many bouquets do you need, do you need flowers for church.

Re: Florist ??
Try looking at Flowers by Burtons - they are a wholesaler & price you by # of ppl in BP & # of guests/tables you will be having - not by the type of flowers you want - they did an incredible job for our wedding - you can see pics of my flowers in pro pics album.

I'll FM you quotes I got from Designs By Rose and Pedestals. Keep in mind though, it totally depends on what you want, how many tables for CPs, how many BO-Ks you will have, kinds of flowers, etc.

Re: Florist ??
It really depends on how many tables and how many people you need flowers for (BMs, GMs, FG, RB, Dads, Moms, grandmothers...dais, flowers on cake, a spray for altar,etc.). For a medium sized wedding, maybe 150 guests... I hear $2000 is good, but that all depends on the above and what flowers you want vs what is in season.
I went to several florists with picstures of what I like and asked them to give me a price. I didn't offer my budget b.c I didn't feel comfortable with that without getting a feel for what it truly costs. I ending up booking with Gina from Flowers & Designs by Gina. She's reasonable, easy to work with and very responsive which is a great trait in a vendor.

It depends on what you want. I envisioned large tall centerpieces for every other table (low tablescapes on the others), but I did NOT want filler flowers and greenery - just huge bunches of hydrangea and peonies coming out, so my flowers are costing more. When you visit florists keep in mind how confident you feel with them doing your wedding and whether they get your vision. Most will work w/in your budget with you.

Re: Florist ??
I am paying $1100 for 10 low centerpieces, my bouquet, 2 bouquets of calla lilies (for my mom and sis) and 3 bouts. I'm using Pedestals.
I went to Flowers by Brian and their quote was about $100 less. I liked Pedestals more so I booked with them.
I think at Flowers by Brian, low centerpieces were around &75 each and the brides bouquet was $225. So you can probably figure out roughly how much you would pay if you chose low centerpieces.
