John at Jay W. Becker in Floral Park. Tell him Linda and Franky sent you! He did great work for our flowers and ended up throwing extras in last minute that we didn't pay for!

Really? Hmn.. she was the best priced that I've seen for my 20 centerpieces, bok's, bouts, etc. And.. she made me a design that I had in my head, but didn't see ANYWHERE. (Nor did I think it would even look good)... and she was super professional sending contract w/ pics within 48 hours. ..Not sure how much Chuppahs go for though.

Re: Florist

I'm using Keyth from Lovin Oven. We also met with Jenn from Verbena and B*rtons. Jenn was great and very creative. We went with Keyth because he's the recommended vendor from Flowerfield, and the prices were close. Keyth came in a bit less though.

As for B*rtons, I hear they can be good if you know what you want. However, we were looking for something a little different, and I thought the guy's head was going to explode. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that we didn't want any tulle, or bows. We're also having a curtain of hanging orchids on fishing line as a backdrop for the ceremony. It was so out of his comfort zone that he quoted us $2000 for it, when Lovin Oven is only charging us $400.

I think you should pick 3 to meet with, see who's quote is the best for what you want, and who you like best.

Good luck!!

DO NOT USE FLOWER MICHELE!! I had a terrible experience with them at my wedding 2 weeks ago and am waiting to hear from the owner before posting the story. However, every time I call he seems to 'just have stepped out' 'finishing a meeting' 'is not in now, but I will be speaking to him by phone later' and he will call right back. I have not received a call back yet. So PLEASE trust me, I will post pictures and everything after they get a chance to explain to me what went wrong!

I have heard wonderful things about Keith, or Kevin, not sure at Lovin Oven. I'm not even being partial because we're going with Flowers by Brian. But I know for a fact that they are VERY reasonably priced and do beautiful work, my girlfriend is using them and has been very happy so far.

Sugar Magnolias. I'm not really into a factory florist. Sugar Magnolias only does one wedding a day. So you really get the personal touch you are looking for.

We used B urton's, and our flowers were GORGEOUS!

They were bright and fresh....our Bo-Ks and the centerpieces all looked great

And we paid about $60 per centerpiece

This was the sample we saw...

And this was our centerpiece

Also, here was my Bo-k

We knew we wanted calla lilies, iris, and greens, and they looked amazing!
