i'm having a small problem with my florist. i met with him over a month ago to go look at flowers, i picked them out and he was supposed to get back to me witha price within a couple of days. a MONTH later he tells me that the computers crashed and he lost my flower info and that we have to go back to look at flowers again. SO 2 weeks ago we went again and picked out the same flowers and again i was told that i would have the info in 2 days. 2 weeks have gone by and still nothing. i do no need this. i have managed this wedding so far with no stress at all ( mostly thanks to you girls) and now i'm freaking out and angry as hell that this guy isn't responding.
i'm gonna give him a call a little later today andtell him 'since you can't do your job, i want my deposit back so that i can go with someone who will!'
what do you girls think. should i do it?

i can't believe that....I would try to get my deposit back b/c you don't want him screwing up your wedding day. I would try a different place

i would call and ask for a price quote first. and then if they still give you the run around i would tell them you are going to take your business elsewhere. they should understand that you have time limits and need to get things done. if they can't get you a price quote by the end of the day thats rediculous. they should have given you one at your first appointment.

the good thing is i already have a place in mind...my parents know a florist, but they didn't tell me about this florist until after i had already booked mine( they knew i was gonna book and they didn't say anything at that time)

If I were you I would get my deposit back right away and find someone else. I would not want someone like that in charge of my flowers. I would still get it back even if he comes up with the details. Too inconsistentfor me.

wow, i am in the same boat! i have been stress free except for my florist
i met with him in may , he made me a sample that was NOTHING like we talked about
went for another sample last week, he shows me a picture!!! then i want 40 minutes for a half made sample
make another appt. for yesterday to see completed sample and he calls at 11am and cancels!!!!

I would call and see what's going on first- then if they can't give you a quote I'd ask for my deposit back - if this is any idea of how they will be you don't need the added stress the day of your wedding.

I would definitely go elsewhere too....because if he is this unreliable now, you do not need to be afraid on your wedding day that he cannot do his job.
