Florist delivery question (2 parts)

I'm getting married at a church - so I need flowers delivered to my mom's house (bo-k's) to the church and to the reception hall. How do I tip each delivery person? I can only be in one place at a time.

OH and my ceremony starts at 11am, the person who did my invites suggested we put 10:30 on invites so we did...but I told the florist 11 - should I tell them 10:30 in order to make sure teh flowers are delivered to the church before the guests arrive?

THANKS!!! Can you tell I'm getting nervous????

Re: Florist delivery question (2 parts)

Tipping floral delivery people, I was told by our planner, is straightforward. You just give them $20 or so apiece as they are not doing anything save delivery. Leave in an envelope with a designated tipper.
Yes, in response to your second question. You don;t want them setting up when guest are arriving.

Re: Florist delivery question (2 parts)

You and I are using the same florists and this is the plan for ours.

We have the flowers being delivered to my house at 12pm--ceremony is at 3pm. Then as soon as the delivery person drops ours off at our house he goes straight to the church. I will only be tipping the delivery driver that comes to my house.

Thanks!!! I know we have 2 separate delivery people - I guess the one that goes to the church gets stiffed b/c noone will be there yet.

Re: Florist delivery question (2 parts)

Perhaps you can find out who will be delivering your flowers to the Church and ask a friend to drop off their tip to the florists or ask for their first and last name so you can write them a check for their tip. That way no one else can take the tip. Just an idea.

The same people are probably doing the deliveries for your wedding flowers so you can tip when they deliver the personals and ask if there are others that they are working with and take care of it in the beginning of the day.

I would definitely tell them about the invite time and give the church a heads up so they are aware of the early delivery.
