ok im using Colonial Florist for my wedding.... extremely happy with them i used them for our e party too... the thing is they are on the higher priced side. My mom is paying for my shower... and needs to get flower arrangements done and i dont want her to feel obligated to use them. We already got these tuscan vases.... so just need the arrangements themselves.
A- do florists let you do this??? bring in the vases and have them fill them up with flowers
B- can you recommend a florist that REALLY works with your budget???
THanks:)

Re: FLORIST HELP
My mom did this for the wedding day - she brought in 5 vases to our local florist and they made the arrangements.
Any florist will do it - we used one in Baldwin, Terranova on Grand Ave since it's up the street from my parents house.
All the vases were different sizes - some weren't actually vases and A LOT bigger.
Ended up being around $220 for all 5

Re: FLORIST HELP
I went to Teranova for pricing. And WOW my eyes almost fell out of my head when they gave me the pricing for my flowers.
Alot of florists will let you bring your own vases. My florist really really worked with my budget. She has a website you can check it out.
She will even create and let you rent the whole thing...or just the vases..etc.
Almost any florist will let you bring in your own vases to have them fill. Not sure on the cost difference tho.

^^^^^^^^ I highly recommend them!!! They are my florist and my mom used them for my shower! Gail is so reasonably priced. I love her! My parents continuously use them now for when they need flowers. You can absolutely bring your vases to her. Tell her your price and she will gladly work within your budget!

I'm not sure where you are located, but my mom and sister used Freyhammers florist in Lynbrook for my shower, and my CPs were gorgeous and VERY reasonably priced! We use them for most of our family functions and they have never let us down!

Flowers by Emil. Amazing pricing that no one else would match for me. Several of my friends have used them already.

Terranova in Baldwin is great, and so is Wicks in Baldwin. I ended up booking with Wicks for our wedding!!

Re: FLORIST HELP
We are using Colonial Florist as well, and having worked with Claudio, I don't think he'd have any issue at all with you using your own vases. Yes, they are higher priced but his work is impeccable. Hope this helps!!!

My high school boyfriend was from Lynbrook and he used to buy me flowers from Freyhammers all the time. They were always beautiful. Your reply really brought back memories. In fact, I recently came across my high school prom corsage at my parents that is pressed and preserved.
Wish I had thought of/remembered them for some of my events.
