I have been to a few florist now, and of course it seems I am going over what I thought I would spend. I don't want to go crazy because everyone keeps telling me that no one noticed the flowers. I love flowers, and I can't help myself.
I am having about 140 people, and low centerpieces.

I think the cost is driven largely by the number of center pieces you have (I have 35 or so, which is killing me)
Bouquets don't usually cost much more than $200, unless you are using rare/out of season flowers.

We are also having about 140 guests and we have a bridal party of 14. We are using all roses, nothing too fancy, as I'm not too much into flowers and we are paying about $1200.

I am also having 140 guests. I am very into flowers though, and requested to have mostly roses with cala lillies and others as filler flowers. I am using low centerpieces but hardly any greens. My entire wedding with all the flowers, including ceremony, cocktail hour, bouqets, bout's, everything is about 3500. I think its pretty reasonable.

I thought average was about $2k, but our quotes have been about $3k... but we are having about 20 high centerpieces, all calla lilies, 7 bouquets & bouts (callas and orchids), flower girl basket, etc...

I am doing all roses. I invited about 175 people. I am doing 15 low centerpieces.. including everything and after tax it was $1260. I have 4 dozen and the BMs have 2 dozen.
