It depends how big is your bridal party and how many tables are you having, also are you doing church flowers?

Re: Florist prices!!!!!

Well, this depends on the size of your wedding and bridal party.

I would say the average cost for bridal bouquet is $65 to $150. Bridesmaid bouquet's $40 to $75. Boutineers $10.00 to $12.50 each. Centerpieces can run anywhere from $50 to $150 per table. And then there is church flowers and other decorative flowers you might need.

I am having a small wedding of only 50 people. My bouquet is $65 (gerber daisies and roses) My MOH bouquet is $40 (gerber daisies). I bought the vases for my centerpieces and my florist is charging me $25 per table for white gerber daisies. Ceremony decorations are costing me about $150.

So basically flowers can cost you anywhere from $500 to $5000.

I would say 2400-2600 is a bit high for me but everyones budget is different. What kind of flowers are you thinking? I have 6 bm 11 gm and 20 tables and i am paying a bit over 1000. I did pick tulips which are in season for march ( for centerpieces) and all bouquets are roses. Hope this helps. Check out burtons they quoted me 1780 however i did not choose them but the let you pick any flower for one price.

Urgh, sorry.

FH and I had our biggest disagreement over flowers as well. He has given me so many flowers during our relationship and it used to what nice bouqets and roses cost year round. He thinks florist just totally hike the prices for weddings.

We are going with small centerpieces and they are closer to $ 35.00/piece.

Good luck

There is NO average for any wedding vendor. It all depends on you and what you are looking for.
You can have champaign florists dreams with a beer pocketbook. You need to determine what you can sorta afford, meet with 2-3 florists and see if you are anyway in that price range. I suggest Burtons. I was very, very happy with their work and prices. Flower Michelle also gets raves on the boards.

Re: Florist prices!!!!!

We are having 4 BM's, 4 GM's, 1 usher, 2 readers. The readers are getting corsages. I don't know yet about ceremony flowers (for the alter) since the alter is very ornate I think and doesn't need it. And someone is getting married right before me so perhaps I can use her flowers if she doesn't bring them with her to the reception. I am getting a cascading bouquet, the BM's are getting handheld ones. At least 20 centerpieces which will be either fishbowls filled with roses or roses in a glass pedestal that is about 5' high off the table. Plus 2 votives on every table. I was quoted $1650 at one place, $1750 at another, and up to $1900 at the third place but turns out my cousin knows the florist at the third place so he might cut me a better deal now. It all depends on what type of arrangement you want - ie: style and shape and largeness rather than type of flower. You can carry a few calla lillies for a good price or carry a big bouquet for more money.

Check if your hall has centerpieces first. Some provide them. If you like it, then that saves alot of $$. Ask the hall who their house florist is. That florist will take some $ off for you if you use them. Bring in pictures of what you like or be very descriptive in what you like and tell them about how much you want to go (lowball it - tell them you can only afford $1500 if you really know you can afford $1800) because if they can match it, later on you can go back and say 'get can make it more lavish b/c I realized I have more money now'.

FM me if you want to know which florists I went to.

Good luck!
