Florist prices : With Poll

Hi ladies. I know a lot of people have booked their florist or are in the process of meeting with florists and getting quotes. I just wanted to know if anyone can help me figure out how much ours should cost. We got a quote, but I don't know if it is good or bad, but I really like the person we met with.
We want to use blue hydrangea (like in the pic of the bo-k below) and roses. We need:

1 bride Bo-k
1 MOH bo-k
3 BM bo-k's
2 flower girls balls
12 bouts
4 corsages
2 alter arrangements
17 low centerpieces
rose petals for throwing at the church

well what type of flowers for each thing bc that makes a HUGE difference, if you used flowers not in season or flowers just in general more expensive then that can make a few hundred dollars more of a difference and higher.

well what type of flowers for each thing bc that makes a HUGE difference, if you used flowers not in season or flowers just in general more expensive then that can make a few hundred dollars more of a difference and higher.

Oh, true! The bo-ks are roses and hydrangea with just a very little dilfinia (spelling?)
bouts and corsages are roses
centerpieces are all blue hydrangea

Usually lower CP's cost less than higher CP's and the kinds of flowers you want also determines your prices.

Based on those flowers, I def think you can get them for around $2,000

I just edited the first post with both the Bo-k and centerpiece pics. I love it so much!!!

I love hydrgeneas ....but my neighborhood florist said hydregneas are expensive b/c they require a lot of water ....

is this true?

FYI I am doing light blue hydragengas (sp?) and dark blue delphinium and I printed out the same BM bouquet and brought it with me. Hydragengas are expensive. I dont know why, but they are. I dont think it has to do with the water but apparently they are pricy per stem so to do a decent sized CP it really adds up. I am still using them because I am doing blue and we blue-brides have limited choices, but I think they are gorgeous.

Oh apparently the darker the hydragengas the more expensive they are...what a crock of shlt if you ask me!

That is funny that you brought the same picture. The florist said that one stem of hydrangea actually equals about 6 roses, because they are such a large bloom, so the price can sometimes be about the same, maybe a little higher. I didn't know about the darker hydrangea prices though. I guess they might be harder to find or something.

I agree. i did a mock calculation based on my quote b/c i will be using hydrangeas (among others) in my CP's. it came in around $2K. HTH

I got a price quote of $6100...HAHA....I have to do some cut backs on some of the things I want...like I need to do half high and half low to get it a bit cheaper...but that is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!! (they did tell me it was the worst price they gave me...they can do it alot cheaper w some changes...but I almost passed out...ahaha

$6,100!!!!! OMG!!! I'm sure the ones you wanted were beautiful! If I got exactly what I wanted, it would probably end up at that price also. We just went with our favorite reasonable choices, to keep the price down. But, I really do like the way alternating high and low centerpieces looks. That will be really nice...

HAHAHA....i didnt pick a flower...b/c I dont have my BM dresses yet...so I couldnt....but I picked the CP which was like this tree looking thing...thought it would be cheaper than roses and stuff...boy was I way off!!!!!!!

yeah the tree type things and branches are pretty expensive...roses are actually one of the least expensive flowers
