Florist Question

Florist Question

Did your florist charge you a fee for 'set up, installation, and removal' of the flowers and decor? If so, what was the percentage?

I only met with two florists and I'm still trying to choose (they both have great things about them). However, one wants to charge me 10% for set up and removal, and the other did not have this charge in their proposal. I don't know what is customary?

Thanks!

Re: Florist Question

Yeah - ours is actually a little more than 10% of the total.

10% so it ended up being a couple of thousand dollars. I should have negotiated it but I did not realize it until after the wedding.

Re: Florist Question

I dont think mine did...but you should be more concerned with the total than the itemized fees. I think some florists like to charge in a big bulk and some like to itemize everything to death. In the end, it only matters what the total amt spent is.

Setting up does cost time and money so whether they specifically charge you for it or not, you are paying for it somehow.

Re: Florist Question

there was no set fee - but i am sure they include it impliedly in their quote for the flowers.
