Re: florist question

Our florist was the first thing we booked. We had NO CLUE about what we wanted & after two meetings with her - we're done! You just need to go in with an idea of what you like and what you don't like....no specifics...or at least, that's the way it worked for us

You can have an idea and book the date but if you change your mind be prepared for a price change as well. Roses are on the less expensive end while Calla Lilies and Orchids are on the expensive end.

Re: florist question

booking a florist was one of the hardest decisions for us because we had no idea what we wanted. my best advice is get some ideas from pictures, magazines, and the such and talk to your florist about what you like and don't like. and definitely shop around and talk to different florists because some of them have wonderful ideas but dramatically different prices. if money is an issue, tell them your budget upfront so that they can try to stick with your budget. otherwise, it could be a waste of your time.

Book the date
Give an 'idea' of what you're thinking about
when you know for sure - a couple of months b4 the wedding - call them, set up an appointment and finalize everything...

that's what we did for ours.

No!! They pick these up a few days before. You should have until 2 weeks before the wedding.

Re: florist question

We thought we knew what we wanted when we booked the florist. It was one of our first vendors, and we hadn't picked out BM dresses or anything else really except the hall at that point.

Since then I have changed my mind about 6 different times!

I didn't bother calling the florist each time, I waited until about 3 months before to have a 2nd consultation with them and go over my final decisions.

They were able to create a beautiful centerpiece for us that stayed within the original price quoted.

How do you know how many CPs you'll need? Don't they usually put that into the price?
