with the prices that i am hearing of the florist around brooklyn i want to put this one off as much as possible....some of my friends have paid 6-10k for flowers and they have had the same size bridal party and weddings that i am having which scares me so i want to try and steer clear of that much
but my wedding is next november when should i really start looking for flowers?????

Re: FLORIST QUESTION
We started last month and didn't book til last week. It really all depends on if you want high or low CPs, the types of flowers, any extra decor like for the church. I'm doing all roses and low CPs and I'm way under $6k.

Re: FLORIST QUESTION
I don't think that has anything to do with. We met with a Queens florist too and it less that both LI florists we met with. It really depends on what you're getting.

Re: FLORIST QUESTION
Again it all depends on the # of CP's you need and bo-k's. High or low ones and what type of flowers. I needed 20 cp's and 9 bo-k's. all low cp's and I am paying around $3,000

Re: FLORIST QUESTION
I met with our Florist a year before the wedding, cause I read somewhere that you should go in the month your getting married so that they will know what flowers are in season. I am sure you will be fine you have plenty of time. -Helene-

Re: FLORIST QUESTION
You have over a year, so you have plenty of time. The more time you give yourself, the more places you can go to for price quotes.
I'm still looking for a Florist for my wedding. We hope to settle with one by next week.

Re: FLORIST QUESTION
most florists can do more than 1 wedding a day. so i wouldn't worry about booking them until you are ready. i just booked mine last week and an getting married in july

Re: FLORIST QUESTION
Star looking at florists now, so that you can see what flowers are in season since you are almost at the one year point.

Re: FLORIST QUESTION
I haven't looked at florists either for the same reasons! i don't want to spend thousands of dollars (in my opinion) on something that is going to die!!!!!!!!!!!! its absurd..im afraid to start looking!

Re: FLORIST QUESTION
We are blessed with a florist in the family (FH's godfather is a florist), so I don't have to search for a florist. I will speak to him about flowers for the wedding sometime in early Spring.
