When did you see your samples? My florist said to tell him when I wanted to see it. Is that normal?

Re: Florist Question
I would see sample as close to the date is possible, cause some flowers look different in different seasons.
I'm using Hydrangea and had serious issues with some florist telling me they would look brown in September when I wanted them a fresh green.
So I had sample done a month before wedding.
Enough time for them to change around the flowers if you need to and close enough in season to see how it will really look.
If they say 'it will look bigger' or 'use more flowers' than in the sample, GET IT IN WRITING!
I heard of bad bad things when they claim they will actually make it bigger than what they are showing you, and then on the day give you skimpy centerpieces.

Re: Florist Question
Well I am using roses, orchids, and calla lilies. From one site I read, they are available all year round so I guess it doesnt matter when I go.

Re: Florist Question
I actually never saw mine! it got me a little nervous but i had so many friends/family that used her so i trusted her work...in the end it was beautiful! they were very very simple so i didn't have much to worry about....but i really wouldn't have changed a thing

Re: Florist Question
I saw mine before I booked with the florist and then saw another one a few weeks before the wedding.

Yes, I think so...the flowers you may want may not be in season anymore. I just had mine done but booked the florist in april
