How many florists did you visit before making your decision? Are they all around the same price range? TIA!

Re: Florist Question
i only went to one and booked one the spot! i booked Pedestals and had heard great reviews about them and a friend had used them and loved them so i felt confident booking them on the spot
i also really love Phil who owns the place and who is doing my flwoers - i went in not knowing ANYTHING about what i wanted and he totally planned everything out for me and i loved it!

Re: Florist Question
I only visited one but did some price research beforehand...some vary greatly! I got recommendations from my LIW girlies of course and went with Burtons....they gave me the BEST price for my HUGE bp and list of things including at least 22 cps, 14 adult bp. 6 kid bp grandparents readers moms, dads 2 church arrangements place card table arrangement....my bo-k and all that other good stuff for $2700!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
****when you are paying for everything yourself...money plays a big part as welll as quality...i probably would have researched for price as much if it were mom and dads money

Re: Florist Question
we went to two florists - and we ended up booking with Jen from Verbena - she was so down to earth - she met our budget - but then the flowers were so gorgeous - FH went absolutely out of control and our 2k budget went to 3700.. but either way - she was able to work with our budget and we booked her on the spot

Re: Florist Question
Thank you guys so much. I have a pretty big bridal party and FH and I don't want to spend a fortune on flowers. (we are paying for the wedding oursleves) I'm going to look into Pedestals as well. I have heard nothing but great things about them. And maybe I'll give Jen from Verbena a try. Thanks again ladies!

Re: Florist Question
I'm a Verbena bride too (and I added more flowers than I originally intended to also!) Jen is awesome and works with your budget. I definitely recommend her too!

Re: Florist Question
We went to a lot of florists, 5 I think total. 3 'wedding' florists and 2 locals...we ended up booking Burton's, based strictly low bid, but we also ended up buying non floral CPs to keep the cost down. I would suggest trying local nurseries in addition to mainstream wedding florists. My local nursery was great, and I never would have thought to even look at them had it not been for Dani booking them! Unfortunately they were still more than we wanted to spend, but don't go by me because we are extremely, extremely cheap when it comes to florists.

Re: Florist Question
Went to two florists and saw some more during a bridal show. Ended up booking with one of the two florists we went to see in person. Also, did a ot of research on LIW and through magazines.

Re: Florist Question
I'm not a HUGE fan of flowers (though the more I look at them the more I love them!) but I was not willing to pay as much as some of the big wedding flower vendors were asking for. So I checked out a few established local florists and their prices are about 1/3 of the price for the SAME thing. So after a few trips (I think it was 4 or 5), we're going with the local florist.
