Florist question
ok, so i'm more comfortable asking you girls than asking my florist...what is the next step after booking our florist? do they contact us to show us samples, etc? or do we contact them?

I went to an appt at Designs by Rose last night and what they said to me was that she wasn't going to ask for any of our information until we signed the contract and booked with them. After that she would call us so we could come in to see a sample of our center piece (only). HTH
I think mine will show us samples closer to the wedding, but I think some show you samples whenever you want. I think I would call them up to ask them to see one.
Thanks ladies!!!
with my florist I booked in April 08, than this past May I went in and chose all the flowers and colors I will be using, then in Nov I will go in to see samples
some florists do samples right away and others do them like three months b4 the wedding, it really depends on their policy. no harm in calling and asking though.
When you book ask them to see samples, or when they will have one for you!
Every place is different. I sent some ideas I liked to a few florists and asked if they could do it and got quotes. Once I met with them though, no one seemed to have it handy and that seemed disorganized to me. Esp since they asked me to send it. However, Flowers and Designs by Gina showed us a sample before we signed a contract, had it ready for our first appointment, gave us direction on how to get what we wanted for the look we want and gave us the sample to keep. I liked her confidence and loved her work. She has been walking us through all the steps... walk through the RH, she dropped off her insurance for them, planned out what look we're going for, planning set up, bathroom baskets, small details stuff. I speak with our florist at least once every two weeks because she checks in on us.
