Re: Florist questions

I booked my florist over the weekend. We walked in and they had a CP displayed that FH and I loved and had in mind. You sit with the person assisting you and you talk about what you want, they show you pics etc etc. I also showed her a couple of pics and the girl knew exactly what I wanted

I loved my florist- she was incredible! Nancy from Open House Country... Her office is in Stony Brook- she does one wedding at a time- she is a true designer! She has so many ideas- we had MOSTLY roses as well... I loved her! see my review!

I am getting roses and I used Burton's. I emailed a picture, exactly how many of everything I wanted and I got a quote. I immediately booked them.

I am using Stop & Shop! She had a lot of pictures for us to look at, but she was great - she had so many great ideas.

(Just in case - it is the S&S in Deer Park)

Re: Florist questions

you absolutely price florists out!

I saw 11 , and Burtons was NOT the best price.

I got better quotes from Simply Stems, Flower Barn and LA Blossom.

In the end, I chose LA Blossom because Laurie is like my long lost sister or aunt or something ...We have so much in common - she knows EXACTLY what I like, and she's been sooooo helpful in all aspects of my wedding planning.

Re: Florist questions

Since you are using all roses, you should price florists out. If you don't know what exactly you want, they'll sit down with you and have books to look through and talk to you to get a feel for what you might like.

Don't feel bad! So did I! LOL I'm glad I'm not alone in my forist hunt! And Burton's was not the best price I got either. In my experience with friends and family using Burton's, it can be very hit or miss.

I'm using Verbena Designs. She was great, has incredible vision and will work with you as far as $ is concerned.

Re: Florist questions

I'm having all roses and I'm using Designs by Rose in Howard Beach - they were by far the best price and also they are a great team - mother/daugher team that are soooo helpful. Check them out!!

Re: Florist questions

I second Designs by Rose. They gave me the best price and are super to work with. They even offered to help me with non-flower things at no cost to them!!!
