I met with a florist today and had no idea if the price I was quoted was reasonable. What do you think?
I'm getting:
My bok (all calla lillies) 4 BM bok 2 FG baskets with flowers 2 mom corsages 8 bouts cascading centerpiece for our table at dinner centerpiece for escort table (placecard table) 2 large pieces at church Bows for pews at church 12 High CPs (min of 36 flowers in each CP) flower petals for cake table, escort table, our table Flowers for all passed trays at cocktail hour
I don't know if that helps or what cause I'm clueless about these things as well lol

I think that sounds good... I was quoted for 5bm 1 fg 16 3piece low centerpieces and my bk for 2500.

The only thing with them I don't like is that they only go with flowers that are in season. So I feel that even though they tell you you will get one thing, you might end up with another.
OOPS!!! Sorry, I was wrong...$1700 was for the centerpieces only...it was a total of $2400 for everything...Sorry to misinform.

you only mentioned the flowers in your bok but what are the flowers for all the other stuff. Thats what changes prices drastically, somebody can have exact same amount of flowers as you such as the amount of bk's, cp's and everything else but prices can be very different depending on the flowers used.
seems reasonable for now, but curious what type of flowers are the cp's?

Your quote sounds great to me! Actually after looking at it I think florists might be trying to rip me off.... I've been quote $3000-$4000 by 3 florists for the following:
Brides bouquet 3 BM bouquets Chuppa flowers (I provided the chuppah and fabric) 3 Dads bouts 3 moms corsages 10 low table centerpieces 2 floral wreaths card table arrangement light flower petals for edge of runner
The quotes have been so high that I've been considering having the florist do my bouquet and me do all the other flowers the day of...This makes me so sad... Is it because I'm out of town?

the chuppa needs alot of flowers so im thinking thats why, ive heard high quotes other girls posted on here for this too.
BUt again what type of flower are you using? this is what makes the huge difference, if you get flowers that are not in season then it will be very expensive and then some flowers are just expensive all the time. So what are the flowers for each thing youre getting.
for example, i had 22 cp's, now if somebody else had 22 cp's too we could both be paying a very different price for each one. One can be paying $100 per cp while the other is paying $175 per cp bc of the flowers they are using.
I would ask florists how much everything is without the chuppa flowers, see how much it is just for that bc im guessing that is what is costing the most

Thanks for the responses. I didn't have to choose specific flowers yet but we had some ideas we talked about. I'm having a design session after i have swatches of my girls' dresses. I can choose any flowers I want including roses, cala lillies, etc. No exclusions (which is written into the contract). I chose a stand just because I saw it previously at a showcase and loved it but can still change my mind in the future.
This is ************* Florist in Woodbury. I know awhile ago there were some mixed reviews, but I know 2 brides who used them and were very happy, plus I really felt comfortable and happy with the woman I dealt with there.
Sometimes I get nervous about quotes etc. because it seems as though I'm choosing totally different vendors than most of the girls on LIW so its hard to get reviews or figure out if things are comparable.
