I guess this is kind of a stupid questions, but I am bugging out right now. I am curious to know when you get to see a sample of your centerpieces??
When you went to speak and book with your florists do typically see a sample before you sign a contract or after??

We are seeing a sample after! Because we can always change anything up until a couple weeks before the wedding when they actually order the flowers. We saw a lot more of her work that day and it was beautiful!

We booked and didnt see a sample but we will see one in July(a year before our wedding)

I think it depends on the florist... when we went to see Flowers by Brian they told us we could ask to see a centerpeice before we signed.
We decided to go with Pedestals though and we didn't see a centerpiece, but we're not getting anything too complicated so I'm not too worried.

My honest advice is to wait until its closer to the wedding to see the sample.
I know I changed my ideas for flowers a million times between when I booked the florist and the wedding day.
ETA: As long as the florist you are booking has samples of CPs on display that you can see when you go to their studio, you can get a 'feel' for their work. They should be able to show you photos of CPs they've done also.

we got a sample before we signed the contract, but we were deciding between 2 different florists and they both decided to make us a sample before we chose.

we don't get to see a sample till after we book, we actually don't get to see a sample till just before the wedding, the only cool thing is my florist told me if I hate it he will do whatever I want to make me happy! So i am not worried!

we plan on doing the sample this july so we can see the flowers during the same time of year that the wedding will be held. none of the florists i've met w/ have talked about doing one before signing the contract. they'd probably be a little weird about that since they'd have to buy flowers to put the CP together for a client who may very well choose a diff vendor.
