Or florist (a friend of bride's mom - first mistake) wants to be able to attend the ceremony so was hoping on setting up the centerpieces around 3pm. Our cocktail hour doesn't end until 830pm. Is this too much time for the centerpieces, which are tulips, to be sitting out so she could make the wedding?

Re: Florist Set Up Time
I don't know much about flowers but I think that might be too long to sit out before the reception. My reception starts at 1pm and my florists starts setting up a few hours before that

Re: Florist Set Up Time
I was told for my 7:30 ceremony that the flowers should arrive around 4, 4:30.

Re: Florist Set Up Time
Tulips don't hold up very well normally, but as a centerpiece it will be in water so it should be fine.
That said, I feel like it is VERY unprofessional of your vendor to suggest a delivery time 5+ hours before your cocktail hour so that she can be there as a guest. Sorry, JMO.
First, your hall may not allow deliveries that early for your room. If they are, I would not feel so comfortable with that anyway. I would request that she deliver them closer to the time, like 5:30-7pm.
