I had a terrible experience with the florist Spitz & Peck and wanted everyone who is planning a wedding to know my unfortunate mistake of choosing them as my florist. They were the house florist and I was forced to go with either them or another florist, which looking back I should have chosen.
From the beginning the repoire was unpleasant and very upsetting. Some of the staff was nasty to me and didn''t seem to care what I wanted or what my vision was. I believe it came down to dollars and cents. My acccount was not a huge account for them and I believe that this is why they didn''t care. First of all, the roses were not fresh, they were wilted when they were droppped off at my house. The bouquets were not wrapped all the way up the stems- you could see the green tape!! And they delivered them short of flowers in some bouquets. when I questioned them about it, they took out the contract, looked at it and said, that my bridesmaid''s bouquets should have 16 roses and they would fix the ones that had less. I actually had to count each flower in the bouquets to make sure they were correct. Then after the wedding I looked at my contract and saw that they were suppose to have 24 roses in them!! When I got to the wedding it wasn''t much better. The arrangement for the lobby was suppose to be white orchids and very large... they used a very small arrangement that wasn''t even the colors of the wedding. The girls bouquests fell apart all day, and the boutineres weren't that great either. They are suppose to be one of the best florists on long island, and in my opinion I think they're the worst.
