I AM GOING TO SHOP AROUND TOMORROW FOR FLOWERS. SOMEONE SUGGESTED BAYPORT FLORIST AND JAMES CRESS IN SMITHTOWN. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY FEEDBACK ON THESE?? ALSO ANY OTHERS YOU CAN RECOMMED IN SUFFOLK COUNTY???

Try Setauket Florals in the Sweezy's shopping Center. We use them for work and are constantly complemented on our arrangements........

I also felt that putting Adult Reception wasn't a good idea,yet I have heard horror stories of people responding with their children, even though the inner envelopes were solely addressed Mr. & Mrs. XXXX. If that's the case then my FMIL will have to call and tell them, sorry no kids, which I think she is trying to avoid doing. She says that they won't care about not being invited, which may be true, but I think the right thing to do is to invited them. My fiance thinks that they are old enough to attend, but he doesn't wnat to cause conflict with his mom since she is contributing. Still Confused.....

I had that problem - invited just the parents and they responded for themselves and their 3 year old. Since it was the only one, I decided to let it slide. Still, I hate paying $50 for a dinner for a 3 year old.

I think Adult reception on the invite is OK - but would still invite the teens.

Hi Lorraine: I just booked the Flower Cart in Nesconset. They were wonderful to me. I'm paying 797.00 TOTAL FOR EVERYTHING (that doesn't include centerpieces). Mine aren't flowers. I'm told this is a great price and I even ordered Blue Hydrangea, which is out of season. The guy Steve there is a sweetheart, honest and accomodating. They are in Nesconset on Smithtown Boulevard. My experience with James Cress isn't a pleasant one. I personally feel they are very expensive. That's just my opinion.

I've been trying to give my business to the smaller places. These huge chains sometimes get me angry because the little guys never survive, so I do my part and give them the business. I can't tell you how pleased I've been with all my vendors. Good Luck. Ask for Steve. Call first, because he is out delivering and decorating all the time.

WE HAD OUR WEDDING RECENTLY AND WE USED WEST SAYVILLE COUNRTY FLORIST ,DONNA DID A WONDERFUL JOB AND HAD LOTS OF GREAT IDEAS ,HER PRICES WERE VERY REASONABLE TOO GIVE HER A TRY

I have been coming to this chat site for the last 2weeks. I must say that I am completely amazed at what goes on here...people sniping at one another, vendors reputations being destroyed without anyone checking their facts ie: Fox Hollow Construction issue, and a complete disregard for other people's thoughts and feelings(Feed the photog issue). I feel like I am in junior high school.

Although I have been married before, the wedding was a very long time ago(and a lot different).It had been my hope to obtain viable and pertinent info from those sharing the wedding experience. While I have gotten some very helpful info,the majority of what I have seen on this site has been anything but. Instead, those who voice their opinions,including professionals, are castigated and vilified for them, making this rather an unpleasant place to visit. Certainly everyone should exchange info..but not insults.
