Try Murphy & Co in Bayside. 2 of my friends had them & their flowers were beautiful. They were really helpful give great suggestions (if you want) They will do whatever you request. They are so nice.
Hi - do a search on them...I keep hearing that they do beautiful work and they are very reasonable. I'm going to be looking at them first when I start my florist hunt. I believe they are located in Huntington...good luck!! I thought I had a big bridal party! :)
burton's did my sister's wedding and four of our friends.of all the vendors that they used all of them said that burton's was the best one to deal with.i'm going to see them in a couple of weeks.they are in melville. good luck
...and their prices are great! They charge you per centerpiece and per bouquet and you can choose any flowers you want! I got mine, 2 MOH and 4 BM bouquets, 1 throw-away, 5 corsages, all the boutonniers, flower girl petals AND baskets, 2 altar vases and 17 centerpieces for $1600. Their number is 631-424-3377 and they're in Melville.
And they were wonderful! Great prices and absolutely beautiful flowers! You will NOT go wrong with them, I promise.
I have heard great things about Burton's, and my friend (michele31) is using them for her wedding this year.
If Nassau is better for you, I would absolutely recommend the florist that I used for my wedding last year. Flowers by Voegler in Merrick 516-481-1277. Ask for Ed (the owner). He is super sweet, and amazingly creative. He took a centerpiece concept that I had in my head and made it into reality.
I was very, very pleased with his work and his prices were extremely reasonable!
He does not charge based on types of flowers, but rather by item (I think Burton's does the same). Additionally, he includes a lot of extras.
I highly recommend this florist - I still use them for all my floral needs. Ed even re-created my wedding centerpiece for me in silk, so that I can have it forever!
Good luck!
i know burton's goes as far as n.y.c. because one of our friend's weddings was there. it was at the essex house hotel at central park.
For example, Voegler's went all the way from Merrick to Seaford to Port Jeff for me. When I mentioned convenience, I trickly meant during the planning process, when you have to go back and forth to your vendors to finalize details.
It's nice to have options close to where you live, and not spend so much time driving. :)
he is charging me a few hundred to come to Brooklyn.
In North Babylon (Deer Park Ave)
Really the nicest people...Can definitely help you do something affordable..He just expanded his business and has a separate woman do only wedding services...
burton's is probably still cheaper then most places even with the charge to brooklyn. are you using them?
I put down the deposit but I still may see a few more florists just to make sure Im getting the best deal.
For larger weddings, his prices are really great but I feel like he is charging me almost as much as some other brides who have twice as much.
I guess he needs to make a certain profit on every deal so I can understand that.
But he is very nice, prices reasonable, and he is knowledgeable.
