Florist visits

Florist visits

I went to see 2 florists today- National Floral Wholesale and Signature Florist (down the block from each other). I REALLY liked both of them. Each had good ideas and their prices were really similar. FYI- National Wholesale will let you pick out your own candles and arrange them for you, since they don't carry candles. Anna (the designer) told me that I am better off finding them myself,as she has to go out and look for them herself. She was really great... I liked her alot. And Signature Florist will provide the pillars but suggested I get the votives myself as he doesn't get a good price on them. I am stuck now because their prices were really similar. Signature Florist is going to be the florist for the Macy's wedding show at Roosevelt Field next Tues. 4/26 and he told me that if I come, he'll have my cp ready to show me. So I am going to try to go, cause I really wanna see! I decided to have black magic roses for my bo-k, MOH will have vendela roses and either black magic or forever yours roses, BMs will have vendela roses. The cps will be a wreath of black magic roses with greens and holly (FI loves this idea). I am still going to shop some more, but I am happy with what I have seen.

Oh, both places provided me with a copy of the quote and a breakdown of each item. Really liked that!

Here are the flowers that Anna from National Wholesale gave me to take home. The color is similar to a black magic rose, but I can't remember the name if it! FM me with any questions!

Re: Florist visits

Thanks! I am trying to see as many florists as possible. This is the only thing that I still have some time to do!

Re: Florist visits

I think visiting florists has been the most fun vendor so far.

It's fun but also confusing! I love that each florist offers suggestions, but then I get confused!

I have heard of James Kress or Cress (sp?). If it is the same, I have heard mixed reviews. Definitely do a search and see what you come up with.

James Crest is very expensive. We visited them and decided on Burtons. There was about a $750 difference between the two for the same thing.

Wow! Yea, James Cress is supposed to be really beautiful but they're also pricy. I'm not up to flowers yet, they smell so nice but they can be confusing.
