Florists..

I need to start calling around to some florists..I dont have my colors picked out yet..nor do I know what we exactly want to centerpieces..but I want to book a florist soon..what should I ask the florists when I call...or when I meet with them??

Before you go to see a florist, you should pick your colors. They usually give you a tour of the place, where they will discuss prices, etc with you.

I didn't have anything picked out when I went. The lady asked what colors I had in mind, what style dresses for me and the girls I had in mind, and what kinds of arrangements I like. Then she gave me ideas, showed me different ideas with flowers, colors, arrangements, and showed me samples in a book. I gave her the initial thoughts and I then followed up after choosing the color and dresses. Have fun!

When I went to the florist I didn't have my dresses set and only had a price range in mind since the pictures I pulled from magazines were to expensive to recreate. I would recommend you figure out a budget and the amount you would like to spend per table to decorate. They will then tell you what they can do to fit your budget and that is an easier way to do it. Ask if they will make up a sample so you know what the end result will be. I choose Pedestals in Mineola and they make up a sample so you can make final changes. Other than that they will guide you. A recommendation on a florist is a good thing. How they prepare their flowers and how they stay during your wedding is an important factor. Good luck, Have fun.
