How many of you have gone to see florists already? I have two appointments coming up and so far, this is the only thing I'm really nervous about. Do you need definite ideas about what you want. I have tons of pictures with flowers I like, but not one final bouquet picture or centerpiece. Actually, I'm all over the place with centerpiece ideas.
Can you make changes once you have a contract with a florist? I'm freaking out a little about this.

Re: Florists?
I haven't made appointments for the florist yet because the only flowers I am having is my B-K and my BMs....that is it... I am pretty sure I know what I want and where I am getting them....but I am sure you can change your mind. When I went with a friend for her wedding...she went in there with nothing and just kind of described what she was looking for....they brought out tons of books of their work so that made it easy!
Good luck! Let us know who you go with!

Re: Florists?
I knew it was early to book a florist, but my theory was that now is the time to see the work the florist are doing as far as winter weddings, which is my focus. Why would I want to go to a florist during the summer I will only be able to see what the popular summer flowers are. So season of course is the most important part in planning my wedding. From the visits I had they walk you through everything they didn't even have to see my pictures ( I had just one picture). The flowers I would be getting were in the showroom. I have to say that if you deal with the right person they will take you into a vision of what your flowers will look like.

You will see everything weeks before the wedding and you can change it. That was one of my questions and Robert was like you are going to pay for what you like, and not to worry that he is sure he will create everything we are dreaming about. I have to say that Pedestals is just wonderful, we were sold on the spot.

Re: Florists?
I just left a deposit with my florist to hold the date. I knew I wanted to use her from my sister and friends. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she said I can come back and sit down and get a better idea how much things are going to cost whenever I wanted. Usually you don't have to figure all this out until about 6-8 months before the wedding. Also to get exact colors for flowers they need the swatch from your BM dresses which I won't have for a while. I love my florist though, she is so honest and really works with you. She also allows you to view the flowers the day before the wedding to make sure everything is the way you want it. I originally wanted tulips and she said that in July they would cost so much money and not be the best quality. I thought that was very honest of her.

Re: Florists?
I was so nervous about the florist, I wanted to use the one I used to work at and then they went out of business so I panicked about finding the perfect one. But I love my florist, she just opened her own shop a year ago so her prices are really reasonable.
My advice is be firm about what you want because a few I went to kept trying to change my mind about things and make me do something different because I didnt want any roses and alot of them wanted to use them for me,
