Florists and CPs

Florists and CPs

Hi all,

I'm an out-of-town bride looking for recommendations for reasonably-priced florists.

Also, I'm thinking about putting potted plants instead of floral arrangements on the tables. Has anyone ever done that and is it cheaper? Do I even need to use a florist for that?

I would consider going to a local garden center ( I live in queens ones to try in Whitestone, Queens...A&S and Garden World both on Francis Lewis Blvd, Queens Florist)

They often have beautiful plants that could certaintly work as center pieces. If you are in LI just check the yellow pages for more of a 'garden center' than traditional florist (I think itd be more cost effective)

I think you could definitely do potted plants...as long as you knew where you were getting them from and prepared the store/florist for your order-you want to make sure you have enough of whatever you want to use.
