FLOWER BUDGET

How much should I set aside? Iwas planning on high and low CPs, I have 8 BMs and 8 GMs, 1 jr ea and 1 FG that I was gonna get a ball for b/c we can't throw petals....

any ideas....I'm not really sure....Iwasn't going crazy...mostly in season flowers, no gerbers or callas so it should keep costs down....

IDK!

Re: FLOWER BUDGET

First quote I got was for around 1,300- that was without any centerpieces....I was planning on a total of 2,000.

I am not sure what it will become though

Re: FLOWER BUDGET

any idea of what types of flowers you want? that can change the price dramatically.

also, # of CP's makes a difference too.

depending on flower type you could hear quotes from $2K-$5K or more!

$409,567,945 million thousand trillion.

uhmmmm well you know my florist is $3k but honestly we didnt even discuss what TYPES of flowers. Every florist I went to [4 of them] did NOT even mention TYPES. they just asked me what kinda centerpieces I wanted [low or high] and how many in the WP, how much decor in church.. stuff like that.

TYPES of flowers never even came into play. So whatever the price is, they will get you what you want. [Seasonal obviously]

Re: FLOWER BUDGET

the quote i just got was the following...and i think its for a higher priced flower vendor

-$300 for a bk (but i reallllly want a specific imported flower so im not really that surprised)
-$85 per bm bk $25 per mini bk for moms/special women etc, $45 for a basket w/flowers for a fg (i said fall colors - dahlias, lilies, etc...no roses no callas...im not sure if its pricey or not)
-the guys stuff doesnt have any prices listed so maybe they just threw that in
-$300 for a branch place card thing (way expensive)
-$150 for low cps fall colors + orchids (also mucho pricey must maybe its cuz i asked for a 'rustic' tin to put them in and the orchids)
- then they quoted me like $15 per table for frosted votives (which we could probably do ourselves)

im gonna check out other ppl though to see if this is like way off or not. i dont know much about which flowers are considered really 'expensive'

Re: FLOWER BUDGET

I'd say go to a local florist and see what they can do for you. I know a couple people who did that or are doing that and they are paying much less but getting great service...especially since they normally dont have like 3 weddings in a weekend or day they can devote more time to your wedding and your flowers...but I would ask them if they have an album of pics with their previous work in it...

I am doing this or trying to get hte florist who does our office plants etc to do it for a good price. My supervisor when I worked in the city office specifically worked with him contracting wise like hwen he can come to the office to water, change plants, flowers etc and I LOVE HER So she said she would ask him for me since now I dont work in hte city office anymore!! So def try a local florist that is reputable!

Re: FLOWER BUDGET

I would say 3,000 to cover everything

Re: FLOWER BUDGET

I also didn't get quoted on any ceremony decorations because my hall does the ceremony and CH decorations so that helps my budget.

Re: FLOWER BUDGET

We budgeted 3K for florist...

1 Bride Bouquet
1 maid of honor bouquet
4 bridesmaids
1 flower girl
1 Jr bridesmaid
1 ring bearer
1 Groom bout
6 usher bouts
2 mom corsages
1 groom dad bout
2 grandmas
1 grandfather

approx 17 high CPs

this is for gerberas, roses, sunflowers, dendrobium orchids, eucalyptus, bear grass....

Every florist we met with comes in either exactly at 3K or a little higher...

I STRONGLY recommend meeting with Verbena Designs in Hicksville, Jennifer was really sweet.

I know quite a few people who used Burtons as well...Burtons had given them the best price out there....so I chose Burtons as well...approx $2200 for me.

Re: FLOWER BUDGET

I having 20-22 high CP's with white roses, ivory roses, blush pink roses, calla lillies, orchids, and some other flowers I can't remember, Church decor, house decor, cake decor, BM's flowers, GM's flowers, FG's, corsages etc etc etc. When you visit these florists make sure they add stuff on for you at no extra charge the place card table display, the rose petals, votives, and toss b-k. etc

What kind of pedestal would you want your CP's on? The new thing is the pedestal with the clear glass filled with water and either rose petals inside or your choice of flower. I believe they are a little pricer than the others but they look amazing. If you want FM me and I will tell you the cost if you are still looking
