I havent officially started shopping for flowers because Im trying to figure out how much I should spend on them.
Im not sure exactly what kinda flowers I want, but here is basically what I need...
19 tables high centerpieces with hydrangeas and roses
5 BM bo-k's (maybe peonies, roses, not sure yet)
1 bride bouquet (probably all roses)
9 calla lily bouts
2 mom coursages
rose petals for tables and 2 flower girls
is this do-able for $2,000??
ETA or is this gonna cost me more than $2,000?

Re: Flower budget
to me i feel like all that would definitely be impossible for under 2k. 19 centerpieces is ALOT. or maybe i just don't know what i'm talking about anymore since i booked flowers months ago lol

Re: Flower budget
tall centerpieces usually go for at least $100 each, more like $125-200 depending on your flowers.
assuming $100, that's $1900 on centerpieces alone. Peonies are also one of the more expensive flowers.
If I had to guess, I'd say you're looking more at $3000-3500 but what do i know?
I agree with the last two posters, I really don't think you'll be able to stay under $2000. The 19 cp's alone will run you close to $2000 - possibly more. Just for a frame of reference, I had 15 high cp's (all roses), 6 bouquets (5 moh/bm, 1 bride), 13 bouts (12 rose, 1 mini calla), 5 corsages, Chuppah, 1 flower girl basket and petals, and aisle petals and I paid $3000.
I also think you're looking more in the $3000 - $3500 range....jmo - I could be way off, but I highly doubt $2000 is doable for what you want. Also, as the pp mentioned, hydrangeas are more expensive, as are calla lillies. Roses are less expensive.

Re: Flower budget
That might be hard to do for that amount, Burtons quoted me $3500 for my flowers, when everyone else was b/w $1500 to $3000 more than he was. We went back 2x, and did not book. I did alot of research and he was the cheapest, there was only one bad write up that i found, but it made me nervous. One florist even emailed me, who could not do my flowers, but just some advice, she said do not go with the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but someone who is in the middle because you get what you pay for. I had 23 cp's, of white callas, hydrangea, denrob orchids, stock, snapdragons in a tall flute with dendrob orchids floating in water with 3 hanging tea lites oh and curly willow, bridal bo-k of all majectic red mini callas, 7 bm's bo-k, 10 bouts, 6 corsages, 2 altar baskets similiar to cp's, and 2 tall vases of calla lillies. Flowers on our table. Burtons quoted $3500, and no one could match the price or even come close. I booked with Verbena Designs but i saw a ton of florists. Check out : Verbena - Jen LA blossom -laurie FLowerbarn - Mike Flower Michele - John Pedestals - Marchella Sugar Magnolias Designs by Rose - Rose City Line Florist Those are just a few i checked out, but I went with Verbena since they also do event design and i wanted sashes and for her to decorate my ceiling at the RH with satin and flowers. She does amazing work. But you must go with who you feel comfortable with. I knew Jen was the one, we cliqued, although it was a hard choice b/w La Blossom too. Good luck, FM with any other questions

Thanks girls! I have no idea how much flowers cost at all. I was also thinking of alternating high and low centerpieces. Do you think that will bring the price down? I mean we can go to $3000 if we had to its not that big of a deal. I just kinda wanted to get a ballpark figure before going to see florists

alternating will bring the price down a little...but i still think you'll be over 2k...again because of the flowers you picked...i'm using John at Flower Michele but I've also heard great things about LA Blossoms, Verbena Designs, and Burton's
