I have not been looking forward to this part of planning but the time has come I start looking at flower companies….. I went in without a budget... I figured what they charge me then I can then see if its worth it.
I went to two florist this weekend and I feel like they both high balled there price after reading some of the post on the site.
One quoted me shy of $6,000 and the other was a about $4,500. The difference in prices was because one had to rent the flower base and the other owned them so was not charging me.
I need around 20 high centerpieces, entrance arrangement, my bo-k, 4 bp bo-k, 4 corsages and about 7 boutonnieres…..
Does this sound reasonable???
Also if you can fm your florist and quote it would be very much appreciated. TIA

Re: flower company help!!
My contract with Flowers by Brian is $4000 even
18 High CPs 2 Church Pieces 10 Bridesmaid Bouquets My Bouquet and a little bit more (boots, corsages, etc.)
So I'd say the $4500 quote is more in the ballpark.

Re: flower company help!!
Honestly... it depends on what you want. High centerpieces cost $$$$. If you want something full, an exotic flower, flowers that are out of season... then it could be the reason for the high price.
I would ask for an itemized list in your contract. My contract states the exact flowers being used, a description of the entire arrangement, as well as itemized pricing per (x however many there are of the item). Good luck!

Re: flower company help!!
I would try flower michele. I am having high centerpieces and a lot of phaelanopsis orchids. They had the best price compared to pedestals, flowers by brian, etc etc etc. Half the places told me I can't have orchids!
If you call talk to Joseph.

This is the reason I felt I had to post this!!! I think companies take advantage of US brides -- and most importantly I hate it when they start asking personal questions... like what do i do for a living ... what does it matter what I do???? Im here to look to hire you for your flowers that will die in a week!!
I’m just in total shock at how much crap like this cost. I made two more appointments for this week. And I am also going to start looking at 'mom and pop' shops too.
It’s just a waste of money in my opinion!! I am also glad I left this to the very end of my planning because I think I would of lost it before anything else got done

Re: flower company help!!
After checking out some of the 'big name' florists on here I went to a beautiful local flower shop and got great service and an amazing price. You might do well to try doing that too
