So, after a few florist appointments, I have decided to go with Flower Michele. Here is the current problem. An 07 bride had problems with them and posted this recently. Also FH's friend went to another company where they badmouthed FM, saying they were overbooking and promising to get flowers they couldn't. That makes me very scared and I'm not sure what to do now. I really want to go with FM, but what if some of the rumors are true?

I am booked w/ them also, same day as you. I also heard the problem the 07 girl had
I think that they were overwhelmed recently b/c of Barbara leaving and there was alos confusion for girls who originally did their paperwork w/ barbara but then John had to step in. I do think that they will be perfectly fine by the time our weddings come, unfortunetly it was really bad timing for some girls. I really wouldn't worry, half of the girls on this board are using them, you are bound to come across 1 or 2 negative reviews

i had the same concerns. i met with john @ fm yesterday, and gave him a deposit today. i voiced all my concerns to him last night and he was upfront about everything. Here's the low down: Things got out of control for 2007. He bit off more than he could chew. The sales people he had weren't as detail oriented as he is and it all fell apart. He has since then changed his business format. He knows and admits he overbooked his services. He told me that for the remainder of 2007 and on he is only booking 2 weddings a day. I have every confidence that john will be a great asset to our wedding. for anyone to admit mistake and take full responsibility is ok in my book.
i wouldn't be concerned. if you are, bring it up. he'll be more then happy to talk to you about it.

One of girls on here just posted either yesterday or today that she met with John, I think, and she expressed some of the same concerns you mentioned and he was able to clear up the negative reviews...so much so that she booked them. I'll see if I can find her post. If not, hopefully she will see this post and tell you herself.

But now they would be booking the 2 of us on the same day. Do you think they can handle it? I'm sure John has others working for him.

call him, tell him your interested but you want to know how booked he is for that day. you're paying him a lot of money for his services, if he can't provide you what you need b/c of too much work you need to know that. it's only fair.
