Re: Flower Girl?
I don't think it's a necessity. I suppose it depends on the type of ceremony you're having, but I always just figured that flower girls and ring bearers were more of a way to include kids that had to be included or add a little cuteness to the ceremony. Do whatever makes you happy...if you don't feel the need to have a flower girl, don't. There's no reason for you to do anything because you think everyone else is doing it or because you think that you have to.

You don't 'need' one - we were supposed to have one, but due to family issues, we will not. I really dont think anyone will notice.

Re: Flower Girl?
Hrm... good thought..
I'm also really liking this idea I found in a magazine of having cones with roses (for tossing at us later) hung from the back of each chair.
I already know that if my nephew isn't my ring bearer (and it doesnt seem he can make it) then I'll have none.
But no flower girl means no rose petals for me to walk on.... Unless I get my MOH to do it *snicker*

Re: Flower Girl?
If you're having a runner, you could always have one of the ushers toss the flower petals on the runner as it is being unrolled.

As of noe, I don't have a flower girl either. I really don't have any little girl that I could think of to be in it at the moment. I do have my ring bearer, and I'll probably just stay with him when it comes to children.

Re: Flower Girl?
We didn't have a flower girl and I still had rose petals on my runner. I don't know who sprinkled them on the runner - maybe the bridal assistant did it.

You don't 'need' a flower girl and I think that if you have to 'borrow' one, than you really shouldn't have her be your flower girl...

Re: Flower Girl?
You could do your wedding totally different... If both of your parents will be attending, instead of having our mom walk you down the aisle with your dad you could devise a way for her to drop them as she proceeds down... before you and your father...
Ok.. I have no Idea.. its a suggestion though! For crying out loud- I'm having four flower girls....
Maybe you could talk to the limo people... have them pre-rolled? GOOD LUCK

Re: Flower Girl?
Not necessary. I had a flower girl and a ring bearer who were both girls. Depends on who's close to you. You don't have to do anything that doesn't work for you.

Re: Flower Girl?
we're not having a flower girl or a ring bearer. but we're also not tossing petals down on the runner. you could have that done ahead of time though....or have your bridesmaids do it maybe!
