My FH's neice- who I am really close with will be 10 when we get married- she has her heart set on being a flower girl and throwing flowers down the aisle- is she too old to be a flower girl and should i just have her as a jr. bridesmaid?
I had originally wanted her to walk down the aisle with my cousin who is 11- should I make him a ringbearer?

my FGs are 8 and 4 ...i honestly think 10 is fine! i sould say anything over that would be a jrbm

sure, why not? i dont think 10 is too old to be FG. besides its your wedding, do what YOU want. who cares what its 'supposed' to be...there are no set rules!

i think whats important is that she wants to. My niece will be almost 9 and shes so excited. At least i know she'll do a great job.
I just wonder if b/c shes older i should have her wear the same color as the bridesmaids in stead of whtie like me.

10 is a great age to be a Flower girl...she'd be too young IMO to be a junior BM (I see that as being more appropriate for 13-16 year olds).
But there's no hard and fast rule that you have to follow...let her be a flower girl !

you make her your flower girl in you want. I would have to agree with Cacarina it is your wedding there is no set rule on your wedding. If your niece wants to be a flower girl and you would like her to be a flower girl then I think you should make her your flower girl

thanks girls- i think i will use the suggestion above and put her in the same color dress as the bridesmaids but let her sprinkle the flowers & my little 11 year old cousin can carry the ring pillow they will be so excited!
