we just went to the florist today and she said unless the basket has a lot going on, she's going to put a small arrangement in the basket and then fill the rest with petals. that way, there will be something left in the basket for pics! i guess it depends on how big your basket is as to how many petals are used. i have to bring in mine once i get it so she can figure it out.
pedestals is giving us our basket, he is going to put a few flowers in there and i dont know maybe 50 or 75 rose petals..
we used freeze dried petals put in alot and used the rest for the aisle i didnt like the idea of wilting petals the freeze dried ones held their color and looked fantastic in the photos
