Okay, so I am making my flower girl basket. Am I insane? What is every one else doing? So far it has cost about $30 to craft. Is that nuts? What do they cost to buy/have florist make....? I didn't even ask.
what was I thinking?
I am literally sitting here waiting for paint to dry.

I made my own and it wasn't very expensive at all. I mean, I also didn't make anything all that extravagant (my ceremony was outside in a park so I thought it was okay for it to be undertstated) ...
I've made my own baskets and they did not cost that much. I've spray painted them white. I got the basket on sale awhile ago. Last time I've checked AC Moore is having a sale on their baskets.
I am copying a design from wedding bells new york's spring issue. I am covering an inexpesive wicker basket with moss inside and out, staining the handle a darker brown, and decorating the rim with silk flowers (yellow callas, orange spray roses and little purply-somethings). it looks good so far, but i am nervous about it. (in case you hadn't guessed!)
