Flower Girl Baskets

we arent doing flower baskets but michael's has adorable ones...

if the ring bearer is 1 y.o he doesnt need a pilow but you should get him a lil stuffed bear or something to help keep him calm and busy.

and I am also thinking of making my own basket. Something simple. a basket wrapped in white ribbon and flowers. If I run outta time I will be running to michael's... they have some nice ones there!

p.s. as part of your ring bearer gift you can get him a build-a-bear. you can put it in a tux and they have a small ring pillow too. its adorable.

Most craft stores have FG baskets but we did something really cool and are saving $40

FH's aunt had a basket (it was like a pearl color with shiny accents) and was ready to get rid of it- is the PERFECT size for a FG basket- she actually got it around easter time from a neighbor.

Long story short- our florist said that if we get a basket he won't charge us the $40 for the basket and petals- he'd give us the petals for free and decorate the basket with ribbon and such.

We took the basket, gave it two coats of white spray paint- and bam instant FG basket!

Here is an idea I liked for a summer wedding - especially if beachy:

I searched on ebay, and found a seller who was selling very cute flower girl baskets for ~$6 each...S&H was $4.85, so 2 baskets cost me about $17!

i also found on ebay a ring bearer pillow for $0.99 with $3.99 S&H...under $5 for a pillow that my 2-year-old nephew will probably throw at someone rather than carry down the aisle!

my suggestion is look on ebay...alot of brides try to get rid of things they bought too many of.
