The flower girls mom asked what kind of dress. These were my only requirements... floor length ivory and my girls are in purple. The dress is to her knees a regular dress and cream & pink, yes you read correctly cream & pink..not even a formal dress.
Am I being a bridezilla being not happy with this or do I have a right to complain??? Keep in mind this is FH's aunt and cousin. I have to watch how I handle this it is going to be my family but I am so angry...
Thanks for letting me vent, please advise

Re: Flower girl drama
I had the same problem with my flower girl...i absolutely hated the dress....I asked for everyone's advice here and and some of the girls suggested telling her mom (My MOH) that although the dress was cute, it was not what I had envisioned. I took the advice, and although I was worried she would be offended, I tried to be as diplomatic and nice about it as possible. I told her that I was hoping that her dress would match mine a little more and that did the trick! She completely understood. Good luck!

You def have the right to complain. You already told her what you wanted and it's her problem she couldn't follow the instructions. I would try to be really nice about it and tell her she will be in all the pic's with the bridal party and it would be nice if everyone coordinated. Good Luck!

You have every right to explain to her that you would like her to wear a dress that would coordinate with the bridal party more. Maybe you could suggest going with them to pick something out. It's your wedding and your should be happy.

I would be upset too, you gave them almost free reign but they did nothing you suggested. I would be diplomatic and mention to them how the current dress will clash and maybe suggest stores to get inexpensive dresses in (Forever 21(?)--I think on Old Country Rd in Westbury)
Good luck~!

Two requirements and she couldn't get it right?? I would say you have every right to complain - and no you're not being a bridezilla.
I would try to find a way to explain that knee length with pink clashes with BP and will not work.

Re: Flower girl drama
Thanks ladies. Fh's aunt lives in Florida so I thought letting her pick out the dress would be easy. I gave her the easiest requirements and I felt like she totally disregarded my feelings.
Thank you all.
Have to love inlaws. :

Just to play devil's advocate... How young is the flower girl? Wouldn't she look cute in anything she wears?

Re: Flower girl drama
No you're not a bridezilla, but maybe you should've given her more specifics on the dress. Maybe you could've chosen a couple you liked and let her pick one. Talk to her nicely, and ask if it can be returned. The only way to deal with this now might be to just buy the dress you want youself. XOXOXO Kitty

Re: Flower girl drama
The dress is disgusting. I have showed my office with over a hundred woman ranging in age and they all agreed. The flower girl is 7.
I sent his Aunt all the flower girl threads and would point out the ones that Fh and I liked...

I would say something, it is your day if it bothers you now you'll just keep reliving it through your pictures and it might ruin your day.
