Flower Girl dress - BM issue - rant

No, not at all. That's very presumptious of her to order a dress without consulting you! I would be irked as well. Can she return it if you don't love it?

um who does that? last i check this was your wedding... not hers.

is this FH's sister or your brother's wife? my feeling is, if you *can't* put your foot down, have someone else talk to her.

no WAY would this ever fly at my wedding. that is BEYOND rude.

that's really rude. i would talk to your brother about this. and unfortunately, if you can't resolve this issue with him and his wife, i say kick her out of your wedding. you really don't need that kind of stress especially as the wedding gets closer.

wow...It is your wedding....
My Sister in law did some on line shopping for dresses for her 2 daughers for FG dresses. I am having 4 FG. She showed me everything first. I was able to choose the dress I wanted the girls to wear. Does the dress she purchased go with your color scheme???

Sounds like she needs a personality adjustment.

Give her a couple of days...Do you like the dress she got?

Good luck!!

Thanks for your support ladies. The dress she bought is lovely. The bridal party will be wearing burgundy. I was thinking about having the flower girl wear a white dress with a pink sash. The dress she bought has a burgundy sash. It's fine.. just not sure if I wanted her in burgundy. Its my fault because I know she overreacts and has done so in the past.. Lately she's been calm and reasonable, and I thought I could reason with her, apparently not.

WOW i thought my FBIL's wife was bad bc she INSISTS on her daughter wearing a tiara that SHE wore on her OWN WEDDING DAY!

No, that is NOT how it works! The bride picks out the dresses and that is IT - i don't care if she is her daughter when she agreed to let her be a FG she is allowing YOU to dress her the way that YOU want. . . .

I am sorry you have to deal with this. I would talk to your brother directly.

And if you are such an effing B**** then she won't mind NOT being in your wedding!!!!

I would loose it!! I am a very passive person, but that takes balls. Yeah, dress your kid however you want on your own time, not my wedding. Who does that? If you like it than bite the bullet and just say I like it and it is fine, but that is rude.
