I found the perfect dress for my 2 adorable flower girls... It is $210 with a $75 alterations cap. Is this too expensive?

It all depends on what your definition of 'expensive' is. I've never heard of alterations on a flowergirl dress. The dress I chose for my girls was about $150.

What designer is the flower girl dresses? You can do a search online with the dress number and there are usually discounted online.

My FG dress was $225.00 and I admit I felt bad telling her mother the price but, given our circumstances I just told myself she owes me 10 years of christenings, birthday parties, christmas, communions, etc!---------LOL

i personally think that's a lot for a FG dress; i bought both of mine online and they were about $50 each.

I just did a search and I can only find sites offering it in white or ivory- I need color.
I'll call around to see if I can get a better price somewhere else...I already called the shop I got my dress in to see if they have it or something similar...

If them having color is the only reason that you are finding such expensive ones you should definitely look online. Mine was sage green and I got it from ebay for $30 inc shipping.

I personally think that is waaay too much. Yes, you will be buying gifts for the kid for bdays and holidays and all that, but why make the parents spend 250 just to have their little girl who will bearly know what 's going on to walk down the asle? I found the dresses for my FGs at Burlington coat factory for 45 each... and they just about match my dress sooo close. I don't see a need to have them in a brand name, b/c more or less they will spill something or get the bottom dirty at the reception.....

bestbridalprices.com has it for $190, I'm not sure if any other places have them for less....usually FGs dont need alterations, if they fit a little loose its ok.
I'm looking into Ladybug dresses too, they're a little expensive but are sooo pretty.

i to got my dress on line for around 50.00 and it matches the bm dresses- but not only am i the bride but FG is my daughter and i know that the dress will be covered with food with in 15 minutes of dinner being servied!!!! I just could not see spending that much on a dress to get ruined. Sorry ladies. JMO

I felt bad asking my flower girls's parents to spend $120 for their dresses...and the girls are 6, 7 & 8 years old.
