Flower Girl Dresses advice
Last minute decision to perhaps have a dear friends daughter (who originaly was going to grandmas) as a flower girl. I was going to have her int he wedding...then decided not too..because she would be coming from far away...long story short..I now have an adorable flower girl...any advice on where to get a cute dress for her? I will be picking this up..as not to put them out...so I dont want to pay a crazy amount for this...any help is always appreciated..

Re: Flower Girl Dresses advice
Jenn,I took my 8yr old Fg(my step daughter)to several bridal shops, the dresses had to be ordered & were kind of pricey. Finally on Friday night I took her to Davids Bridal in Carle Place, they had about 20 styles in every size & color for her to try on, she found the one she loves-it was $100! There are always coupons on there website. I'm a very picky fabric person, but I love the dress she got. I am going to have her alterations done privately because we live in Suffolk & I've heard DB is not the best with that. Good luck!

Try Calliope in Merrick. Really cute stuff and I think the prices are decent. Also look at everafterformal.com online...they have some cute dresses that I have seen in the stores for less money.

Thanks! The other part of the question...the little girl was jus tin a wedding and has a dress she could wear..but it is Ecru (eggshell) and my dress is white..the bm dresses are soft yellow....do you think that this would clash terribly?

Re: Flower Girl Dresses advice
Our 2 flower girls got their dresses at David's Bridal. They were so adorable, I got tons of compliments on how cute they looked. Unlike a bridal shop, you won't have to order the dress, so it will save lots of hassle. Check out their website, they have many styles.

Casey,I think the only 'rule' is that the flower girl isn't in a lighter color than you. Ecru is beautiful & you could make her flowers have the yellow that your girls are wearing in it. If she has a dess that works let her wear it! Good luck

I agree with RichsBride. You could easily accessorise her in with your bridesmaids colors. Maybe add a sash to dress or a ribbon in her hair. Why go to the extra expense and worry about fit etc.

Re: Flower Girl Dresses advice
I think the Ecru will work especially if your BM are wearing a pale yellow. In case you decide otherwise, we were able to buy flower girl dresses at Estelles on 110 for $65 off the rack.

Amy,We got my neices at Desining Dreams in Mineola. Across from Chaminade. How old is she? My neices have been in several. I may have one you can borrow.

You would be shocked at the dresses eBay has for under $50.I am getting mine from www.glamgal.com
Her stuff is beautiful and cheaper than the bridal salons. Also Davids has a bunch.
