Are you as a bride supposed to pay for the FG's dress for the day of???

i did...I don't believe it is necessary

When we bought my FG dress, we made an entire day of it. We picked it out together & then went for lunch...I also bought the gown as part of her 'gift' with all her accessories

We didn't - the parents paid me back for the dresses, shoes, crinoline, and tiara that I purchased.

Thanks girls...just wanted to get idea of what people were doing. I have heard a few instances where a bride did, as someone mentioned above as being part of the gift. Just wanted to see what the norm was.
