Flower girl question

Flower girl question

Hi ladies...I'm new here. I just wanted to say hi before I start with my very first post!

I am going back and forth w/ the idea of having a flower girl. A ring bearer is out of the question bc neither FH or I have a little boy in the family to do the job. I have a little cousin and she'll be 8 during the time of my wedding. Is that too old??? I dont know if there is a max age on this or not. I know typically flower girls are very young. How old were your flower girls? Also, is it considered bad luck not to have flower girls/ring bearers! I heard it was!!!

My sister will be 8 and she is my FG I don't think she is too old I think 10 and up is too old

Welcome and congrats!

I think 8 years old is fine. My FG is will be almost 3, but I have two ring bearers and one will be 8.

Also, I was FG for my sister's first wedding when I was 9 years old. I don't think 8 is too young at all.

1 Flower girl will be... 7 and the other will be 12. Yes 12. BUT she is TINY TINY and looks like she's 7 and she's 10 now.

My niece will be 7 and I think the age is perfect and appropriate. She is old enough to pay attention, follow directions, etc.

I will be having 1 FG who will be 3. I don't think 8 is too old and I've never heard the bad luck thing about not having one.

i think 8 is a good age. my FG will be 6 and my RB will be 8 at the time of our wedding. so you should be fine.

Welcome!!! I was a FG for all of my aunts until I was around 12. I think 8 is a great age! I am tossing around the idea of having my 2 neices be FGs, but they'll be 4 1/2 and 3 1/2 and I don't know if they'll be completely opposed to walking down the aisle!

i also think 8 is a good age. she'll still be cute and adorable- but you dont have to worry about her having a temper tantrum down the aisle! lol i say go for it!

See I think 4 1/2 and 3 1/2 are perfect ages for flower girls. They are so innocent and cute!

I think 8 is perfectly acceptable! And not at all too old! Plus she will always remember being your FG.

MY FG and RB will be 2 and I am so nervous that they wont make it two feet before they start crying! The only thing keeping me sane is that they will run towards their parents who will be up at the chupah already.

i think you are fine. as for the RB, i dont thiink its bad luck. we are not 100% sure if we are going to have one. we dont really have any boys we are super close with...but FH's sister has a nephew that is RB-appropriate age...and i think it may cause drama if we DONT ask him....so.....well seee.....
