I will have 2 flower girls ages 5 and 7 at that time. I won't have a ring bearer because I don't know anyone with any children that are boys.

I also have a question. What age is too old for a junior BM? I want to ask FI's cousin who is 19 but I'm not sure if 'junior' would apply to her.

Actually I just answered my own question because she will be 20 when we get married so that I think is a little too old to be a junior BM.

I will have a flowergirl that will be 7 by then. I think 10 should be a Jr BM. I also asked my cousin who is 16 to be a BM not jr BM she will 17 for the wedding.

I'm having 3 junior bridesmaids and they will all be 10 at that time. I think you can do what you want but generally 7 or 8 i would say would be the oldest for a flower girl... We're also having a junior groomsman who will be 12 at that time.

My sister was a flower girl when she was 10 years old. So I don't think she is too old. JMO.

I have 2 flower girls ages 4 and 7 in 2007. My ring bearer is going to be 8 in 2007

I was thinking a flower girl since she is very shy. I will also have my cousin as a flower girl.

If anyone can think of something else for her to do that would be great.

I will have the similar situation. My FI's two cousins will be 11 and 7 by the time we get married. 11 for a flower girl seems too old, but I plan on having 4 bridesmaids and only 3 groomsmen, so I don't think I want 4 bridesmaids + 1 jr bm and then the 3 groomsmen.
I know, it's a pain, but do you really need to go with the 'usual'?

My flowergirls will be 4 and 3 and my ring bearer will be 4 at the time of the wedding. We plan on having them practice a lot using candy or a toy at the end of the aisle as a bribe lol.

I don't know if I am going to have a flower girl or ring bearer..they will be ages 3 and 5 for our wedding..but then it might be a pain for their parents to have to watch them at the reception...so I'm not sure.

flower girl will be 6 and ring bearer will be 4

i think 10 may be a bit on the older side for a rb or fg- maybe make them jr. groomsman/ushers
but then again basically it is all in the title and if they are ok with it, then it should be fine

Thanks everyone! We've decided to wait to see how she is within the next year.

One of my flower girls will be 2 1/2 as well. I think it is up to you (and the parents) if this is 'too young'. Any child, no matter what age, may decide they do not want to walk down the aisle or what not. This situation is more likely to occur the younger the child is. If you don't mind that your flower girl may not get the role exactly right , then I say go for it! I am! But this is JMO.

Also, as far as the reception, the parents can always have a babysitter pick the child up shortly after you are announced.
