Re: Flower Girls
I heard a wedding planner say this happened once .. and they had them hand out mini roses as they walked down the isle (without thorns obviously)

If the church doesn't have anyone to clean up after they sometimes opt out of allowing the throwing of petals. I like the idea of the roses being passed out along the way. You wouldn't need many probably like maybe 15-20, there are only so many women sitting on the aisle.

My church doesn't allow it either. I might have the 2 FG's carry Pomander Ball Bouquets instead...

I love LOVE this idea!!! I have this feeling I remember reading somewhere that my church won't let flower girls drop petals either but this is a really sweet alternative!

My church won't let me do it either. :( They have a cleanup person, but they said the rose petals, if stepped on, can be dangerous.

Re: Flower Girls
A pomander is a little ball of flowers that hangs from her arm with a ribbon loop. Another idea is for them to carry little flags with a cute saying (Here comes the bride, etc). I have seen them wave long ribbon wands too.
Our church allows them to throw petals, but FH and I were talking last night and we kind of like the whole idea of the 'Here Comes the Bride' Sign.........That is also an opinion....
Good Luck

Re: Flower Girls
Crashing....
No big deal...I had 2 flower girls also and my church dosent allow petal tossing. Which btw is very understandable you dont want guest stepping and falling at your church and then the church is liable for that.
I had my 2 GF carried a small basquet with the same flowers I used.

My church doesn't allow anything to be thrown either. Maybe they can wave wands or something like that or carry a sign.
