I've met with our florist once - to book him - and we kind of just generally discussed my ideas. Is there a meeting before he puts together our samples or how does that work? Sorry - I'm super ignorant about this - btw, we are using John at Flower Michele. . . TIA!

Re: Flower meetings?
Yes, there usually is a meeting a couple months before. I know when I booked my florist (last year) I really didn't have a clue as to what I wanted, but he said that he didn't need to know at that time anyway it was way to early. I was told that I would meet with him about 3 months before and then he would make up as many sample centerpieces and bouqets as he needed until I was happy. I don't know who you booked with but I would just give them a call to make sure that they do the same.
ETA: Sorry I just re-read your post and saw who you booked with, lol, I don't know them though or how they work but I'm sure they set up meetings with their brides.

Re: Flower meetings?
John told me that like 3 months before he'd show us a sample centerpiece...and I think like 2 weeks before he orders the flowers and has you come in to really finalize everything.
