hello 08s!! sorry i'm crashing the 08 boards but i'm shopping around for florists. doing the budgeting and the like ... and was wonderin what ya'll spent/spending on flowers and what kinda flowers are included in that $$ ... thanks!!!!!

I'm spending about 2700. Thats mainly because I have a large bp.
That includes
18 High Centerpieces of Calla Lillies 1 My Bouquet- red calla lillies and roses 9 BM Bouquets- White calla lillies and roses 2 Coursages for Moms (Almost forgot) 13 Bouteniers (FH, Groomsmen, and Dads) Throw Away Flowers for Cake. I think thats mainly it
I'm not decorating the church because they decorate for Christmas

i wanted to keep my flower budget down. I am doing all roses...you can see them in my album and paying $2000. 6 BM my Bo-k...8 bouteniers, 2 parents, 20 centerpieces, 1 alter, flower girl stuff...and i think that is it:) I am very excited. I love roses to begin with and they are about $3 a stem (or so i was told)

It really depends on the types of flowers that you want to get, high or low CPs and how many bouquets. If you know there is a specific flower you want to have then just start meeting with florists since you don't know what you'll be spending. I knew I wanted all roses I had no clue what to expect in terms of price. We met with 3 florists and ended up going with Flower Michele. They were all within $200 of each other, but Flower Michele was offering us so much more in terms of actual flowers that they were the best deal.

i went with flower michele as well. im doing all high centerpieces with roses and hydrengas. im also doing alot of votive candles. i also need a huppa to get married under though.

do you have any idea what type of flowers you want yet? high or low centerpieces? also depending what type of flower it is and whether its in season or not can change the price drastically.
Also how many bok's, bout's would you need? and around how many cp's?

IN general roses are less than alot of other flowers, and on top of that its easy for a florist and for you bc it doesnt take alot to make it look good.

mines going to be about 3000 I signed with flower michelle high centerpieces (13) my bok 4 bm bok 8 coursages bok to throw rose petals on card table & and in aisle decoration of cake and rose petals under the cps
If I need more CPs they will be about 130 each..

I am spending about $900. I am getting:
1 bride boquet (hand tied) 1 throw away 6 BM boquets (hand tied) 2 coursages for mom/grandma 11 Bouteniers 2 poted plants (to sit next to the arbor instead of actualy flowers on the arbor. we can take the poted plants home plus they are way cheaper!) 16 low centerpieces
I am getting married in may and I am just using a very colorful springy mixture of flowers in blue, yellow, purple, and pink.
A lot of added cost will be with high centerpieces and flowers that are hard to find. Poted plants are also usually a lot cheaper and nice because guests can take them home as a favor.

BUT thats because i'll need my bok, 9 bm bok, fg basket, 3 corsages, 13 bouts, 30 high cp, and church decoration (i think im missing something...) Also, I'm using ALL orchids which are on the higher end of the price scale....
Gosh, it seems like i'm way overspending over here!

1 Chuppa (that's the most costly thing in our flower budget ) 1 Bride Bouq 1 MoH Bouq 2 BM Bouq 1 Groom Bout 1 BM Bout 2 GM Bout 1 Male Cousin Bout 1 FG- (Just petals for her to throw) 1 MoG Corsage 1 FoG Bout 1 Aunt Corsage 1 Female Cousin Corsage 12 CP's (low ones) Cake Flowers Escort Table Flowers, Swagging on aisle chairs
I think I got it all- got the paperwork at home.. just to give you an idea tho the chuppa we need for the ceremony is $500- if we didn't need that it'd be lower cost.
We're using all lavender, pink, and cream roses with white/lavender hydrangeas and white stephanotis as well.
If we need additional CP's they will run us $75 each.
