Flower question

I have no idea how much flowers cost and I don't know who to go with.
We're probably going to have around 200 people, so thats 20 centerpieces, theirs my bo-k, 1 MOH bo-k, 5 BMs, 7 GM corsages, 6 parents and 3 grandparents. Oh, and the cake table needs something. Let me know about packages, where you went, what you got included, and if you feel comfortable telling me prices, that'll be great, but if not, thats ok too! Thanks!

Re: Flower question

Hi Nancy,
I spent 1700...I used burtons.
I got...
15 centerpieces,
my bo-k
7 girls bo-k
11 boutineers
4 corsages
roses for bubble bowls at cocktail hour
rose petals for my aisle, cake table, place card table
tulle and bows for my aisle
two standing pieces for the altar at flowerfield
I think that was it....
Oh and they threw in beautiful centerpieces for my bridal suite and placecard table

It was all roses. Hope this helps you.

Re: Flower question

Wow, Christy, thats a lot at a really good price!!

I'm thinking that I want floating Gardinias involved in the centerpieces and candles also. I would love it to all be on mirrors so it'll reflect and look like its more than what it is, you know? At least that's the way I want to go right now, but with me, things keep changing! I definitely want Gardinias somehow.

I'm going to try Burtons, Flower Michelle Pedestals, and Jack and Rose. I was going to just go with James Cress, because their work is beautiful, and my dad's cousin is the mgr. of the Port Jeff branch or something like that, but I've changed my mind. I've heard that they're really expensive and even if we get a good deal from my dad's cousin, I'm afraid that it'll still be too much. I'd be too embarrassed to say no, if they give us a deal, because I don't want them to think I was expecting it for free or anything. You know what I mean?

I'm going to e-mail the florists that I mentioned above and tell them what I want and see if I can get a quote. I'll then go and see them next time I'm in NY (who knows when that'll be?).

Re: Flower question

Nancy,
If there is anything I can do to help you with your search let me know. I know it can be hard when you are so far away. Feel free to use my name and price when you call burtons, they were amazing to me!
