Re: flower question
I asked a few florists about that. First, you need to ask if there is a rental fee for the pedestal - some charge to rent, and others don't (the ones that don't usually just include it in the cost of the flowers - same difference). If it's a separate fee, it's usually $20 - $25 each. For a nice arrangement, I was quoted around $100 per arrangement for flowers and pedestal (you are responsible for making sure they get the pedestals back). You could go with less flowers/ less expensive flowers and pay less and of course go with more flowers / more expensive flowers and pay more ($300 each is not uncommon).

Re: flower question
depends on the florist, i'd but I'd say the other quotes are about right.
however, you should ask about returning the stands. One florist said we were responsible, i asked another and he laughed at that (not meanly, but 'how could a vendor ask you to do that')? So its a good question to ask, i've found out :)
I understand it also depends on the place your wedding is, if the staff aren't vigilant about making sure guests don't take stands home, you may have to give them a small security deposit as well. (this may be where you are responsible for stand returning comes in, maybe..)
again, different florists vary. Good luck!!! don't be shy w/ your questions its what this board is for!
