Flower Questions

Obviously I live in dream world b/c I had no idea ho wmuch flowers would cost.

I have been to a few places and have been quoted about 2000 -2700 for

8 Bok.
10 bou. (includes fathers, GM, groom)
My Bok.
2 corsages
and 20-24 centerpieces

(Huge wedding, I know)

Just was wondering if you ladies could share price ranges w/ me or FM if you like if your party was a simliar size.

I will be having...
My bok
5 BM bok
10 bouts
2 low altar arrangements
6 tulle pew bows
16 centerpeices (this may change)
petals and votives for the placecard table and cake table.
4 corsages.

All this for $1900.

What makes the difference is the flower type. I asked about an all Calla Lily bok for me, it was going ot be $25-30 more.

Check with John@ Flower Michele and he will work with you- he worked with me

he will tell you exactly how many cp's you really need.... I was thinking 20 for me but he said i only need 17.

definitely sounds reasonable...I was quoted 1600 for 15 centerpieces, 4 bo-k's, my bo-k, and 4 bouteiniers (sp.)

I think that actually sounds pretty reasonable for a large wedding party and a lot of centerpieces. Most of the quotes I got were similar or slightly lower for my bk, 6bm bok, bout, corsage and 16 low centerpieces

I think the # of CPs is driving the price so high. Would you be willing to 'sacrifice' flowers for candles or silk flowers?

mine about $2300- all roses

13 low centerpieces, 6 bridesmaid bouquet, 2 flower girl baskets, 13 bouts, rose petals for throwing and cake table decorations....

just as an idea...

Its crazy how much flowers cost but I think that sounds like a good price range! If you're concerned about cost, maybe you can cut it by making our own centerpieces.
Maybe something with three different sized candles with rose pedals instead of full centerpieces.
