FLOWER RAAAAAANNNNNNNNNTTTT
First of all, I was almost done writing this and for some reason the screen refreshed and I lost it!
So anyway, my mom's birthday was Friday less than a week after her boyfriend passed away. I couldn't be with her because of school and work and the fact that she lives in Smithtown and I live in Queens, so I decided to send her flowers.
When she got home from work on Friday, the flowers were left on the porch, knocked over and the flowers were frozen in the spilled water. She tried to tell me that they were okay and she would thaw them and it was just one big flower that didn't make it. Also, there was no balloon.
Saturday I called her and she told me they were dead already. That combined with the no balloon thing, I called Teleflora. The wench who answered the phone was like 'Well, how would you like ot handle this?' And I was like ummm... I dunno, you're the customer service rep? If it's up to me, I want my money back! She offered me a choice of 25% off or a redelivery for Monday since the florist was 'closed for the weekend'.
First of all... what happened to my balloon? They said it wasn't part of the order and Iw asn't charged for it. Well, I definitely ordered one and the total on my order was different from the total they charged my credit card... thy never charged me for the balloon! OK fine.
Secondly, 25% is what, like $8 or $9? Big deal! 25% off is not worth flowers that died within a day. So I asked for a redelivery given that that was my only other option and I aksed that the balloon be included at no additional charge. She agreed.
Monday: No flowers. I called when I got home from work at 9pm and spoke to a very nice Rep this time who apologized profusely and offered to have the flowers delivered again today (Tuesday) and to include the balloon and that THIS TIME I would be sent an email notification of delivery which I never got the first time for whatever reason.
Today NO EFFING FLOWERS???!!?!?! ***???![]()
So I call back again and they transfer me to the 'research department'. He was also very nice and he was like, well, what would you like to do at this point, would you want a refund or a redelivery? I was like, well, given that my mom's birthday was Friday and tomorrow's Wednesday, redelivery seems kinda pointless. If it had been up to me to beginw ith I would have liked my money back.. more than 25% at least. I told him my fiance sends me flowers all the time but he usually uses 1800Flowers and ont he couple of occasions we've had issues (broken vase, broken flowers) they rectified it via refund or redleiver the SAME DAY. He said well, that's wha twe usually do, I'm really sorry, ID on't know what happened here, but I'm happy to refund you your money. I aksed if he could tell me who the florist was because it would seem to me that it was more their fault than anything else. He told me he wasn't allowed to do that.
Meanwhile, their business card is on the arrangement.![]()
GINA'S ENCHANTED FLOWERS IN ISLANDIA!!! THEY DO WEDDINGS. DO NOT GO THERE.
And try to avoid Teleflora too, because really, this was REE-TAH-DED what I just went through for flowers... and they weren't cheap!
The end.![]()
